GrantsNational PTA has over $1 million dollars in grants available to PTAs just like you.
Check out the many grant opportunities, read through them, and start working on your grants. Then come to our special Grant workshop being held by Kathryn Basham On September 25 at 7pm EST. Here is a link to the grant workshop. She has applied for several grants at the local and council level and obtained all of them. She will help you with tricks of the trade and answer your questions. The grant application process will close Oct 1, 2024, at 11:59pm PDT. Indiana PTA would like to see lots of local units and councils obtain grants, but you cannot get them if you don't apply! Our office will be closed from Oct 10 - 17, 2024 as our Executive Director takes a well deserved break. Your FSRs will continue to be available to you during this time. Tax ChangesDid you know that the Indiana Department of Revenue is changing the way that non-profits file their tax forms? They must now all be filed online. In order to do that, an INTIME account must be set up. We need your help with that! We have requested a letter that will allow us to open an INTIME account so that we can file your taxes for you. This letter will come to your school. When you get it, please snap a picture of it and send text the photo to 317-357-5881. We will then open an INTIME account and will be able to do your taxes for you, as always. Wondering if we have set up an INTIME account for you yet? Check out the PTAs that have an account set up for them. If you are not on this list, watch for your letter!
Related to this is NP-1s. This form allows you to purchase items from stores without having to pay sales tax. After texting a picture of the letter to us, make a list of the names and addresses of businesses you frequent, and we will order your NP-1s for you. E-mail the list of businesses to [email protected].
ConventionReminder to mark your calendars for April 25-27, 2025, for our first in-person convention since Covid-19. We are so excited and are already working to line up workshops that will be informative and fun!

Dynamite News for August
Membership Awards are back and it's almost time to start submitting your dues to Indiana PTA! We are giving away big prizes in the month of October and November!

All units should be receiving a letter about setting up their INTIME account. As soon as it arrives please text a picture of it to Julie French at 317-357-5881. Indiana PTA will not only be maintaining all of the units' INTIME accounts, but also filing your NP-20 on the 5 year rolling schedule. To be tax exempt when shopping you have used the ST-105 and had that on file with the stores you go to, or hand a blanket form you could use at all stores. Starting this year, the ST-105 is becoming defunct. Your unit will need to request a NP-1 for every place your unit shops, to be tax exempt. Please email Julie French a list of all the places you plan to need a NP-1 for for this school year. Include your unit, the store name, and store address. (Yes, if you shop at 2 or 3 Walmarts or Meijers you need one for each). These can be requested at [email protected] Get your PTA name and info out in front of your community, families, and staff!
